Music and Arts School for Economically Disadvantaged Kids in Connecticut is Latest Music Empowers Foundation Beneficiary
On May 23rd, the Music Empowers Foundation announced a $20,000 grant to the Neighborhood Studios of Fairfield County. Neighborhood Studios is a multi disciplinary school of the arts in Bridgeport, CT. Founded in 1977, today it provides music and arts education to over 1,500 economically disadvantaged and special needs children.

Music Empowers Foundation Announces The Winner Of Its “Music Teachers Matter" Video Content
The Music Empowers Foundation today announced the winner of its “Music Teachers Matter” video contest. The event was conducted in March 2013 in honor of Music in Our Schools Month. Participants were required to submit short videos explaining why their school’s music program and its teachers are important and special to them.
